Business Associations is the field of law concerning companies and other business organizations (corporations, LLCs, partnerships, professional establishments, etc.). We assist with the formation of new businesses and the furthering of commercial enterprise.

Estate Administration involves the management and settlement of a testator’s (deceased person’s) estate (the legal title/ownership one holds in lands, assets, or property).

Estate Planning refers to the legal preparation of instruments (formally executed, written documents) to manage one’s finances and property in the event of incapacitation or death. This planning is paramount for ushering in the desires of one who has become incapacitated or passes.

A guardianship is the role granted by a court to a person/entity in order to assist an incapacitated person or their estate so that they may participate as fully as possible in all decisions which affect them. Guardianships must be petitioned for to the court.

Every transaction is done under the purview of the law. The subject of a transaction may concern real property (land sale), business assets, and a myriad of other domains.

A trust is an equitable or beneficial right or title to land or other property (a legal relationship) between a settlor (one who creates a trust, and initially possesses property) and a grantee (one who holds and manages the trust property) utilized to distribute property or its income to beneficiary(ies) (those in whom legal title or ownership resides, chosen by the grantor to later receive from the trust). Trust Administration refers to the process following a trust’s instructions or the death of the settlor.

OUR OFFICES

SAMUEL R. COURY

FOUNDER

I am proud to say that I’ve been a lifelong resident of the A-K Valley. After graduation from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia in 1982, I welcomed the opportunity to practice in my community. For more than 35 years, I have concentrated in the areas of estate planning and estate and trust administrations. My goals are to provide affordable professional services for documents, such as Wills, Trusts, Powers-of-Attorney, and Health Care Directives, and to help limit the stress related to those affairs arising after the loss of a loved one. I am available for consultation in person, by telephone, and Webex and Zoom.
